Just another article to make me excited about the movie: The Help

In The Help, Octavia Spencer plays Minny, a maid renowned for her Southern cooking. © DreamWorks II Distribution Co., LLC. All Rights Reserved.
As if I needed anymore encouragement or reason to be excited about the movie based on the novel, The Help by Kathryn Stockett, along comes this article by Vanessa Gregory in Food & Wine magazine: The Help: Southern Food. We Southerners have deep seated love affairs with not only our land but also our food and from my travels I haven't ever found anything like it!  I can believe it when the director, Tate Tayler (according to the article) says, "About 20 minutes into the movie, you're craving fried chicken."

Loved this book and am so looking forward to the movie! Looks like I'll have to plan a girls night out with dinner first.

I have finally started seeing some commercials for this movie. I don't usually want to see movies made from books I like because the movie never seems to follow the book and I am usually disappointed. But I am going to give this one a try. I am anxious to see it.

My neighbor goes to church with the twins who played, Mae Mobley, in the film. The film release is sort of a big deal here in Jackson, Mississippi. Then again, not much happens around here :)
