"The time which we have at our disposal every day is elastic; the passions that we feel expand it, those that we inspire contract it; and habit fills up what remains."
"Time is a resource to be used creatively, inventively and imaginatively. Be sure yo have more and more passions to expand it. What inspires you will take up most of your time and will leave little for routine habits which aren't that important."
~Alexandra Stoddard, Grace Notes
This morning I pulled a book off my shelf, Alexandra Stoddard's Grace Notes, to skim a couple of pages and the meditation for February 20th caught my eye. It reminded me that time is such a precious gift and one that is priceless. Even with that knowledge, I still often take it for granted and don't use it wisely. I don't value it in the way I should. Thinking upon Stoddard's words...do I use my gift of time creatively? Inventively? Imaginatively? Or do I let it melt away in habit? Hmmmmm.......thoughts to think.
